In connection with the possibility for the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria to broadcast nominations for the WHO Awards for 2022, after a thorough review of the criteria for the individual awards and given the successfully implemented by the Bulgarian Red Cross projects aimed at care for the elderly with chronic diseases and permanent disabilities, the Minister of Health proposed the nomination of the Bulgarian Red Cross for the following award:

STATE OF  KUWAIT HEALTH PROMOTION FOUNDATION, “HIS HIGHNESS SHEIKH SABAH AL-AHMAD AL-JABER AL-SABAH PRIZE FOR RESEARCH IN HEALTH CARE FOR THE ELDERLY AND IN HEALTH PROMOTION”

The award is given annually to individuals, institutions or non-governmental organizations for their contribution to the field of health care for the elderly and health promotion.

The Bulgarian Red Cross accepts the nomination as an extremely high honor and recognition for the responsible and hard work in support of the elderly in our country.
